Dear Tracey, it was good to meet you yesterday Tues Jun 7 to discuss our thoughts on the conference setting and the accommodations. Joni and I truly enjoyed the conference in Lake Placid - we normally attend this conference if work schedules allow us to - but we must say the location at Lake Placid, NY positively influenced our decision to attend. The surroundings were beautiful and the accommodations were excellent. From our location in north NJ, the travel with one stop was just under 260 miles or about 4.5 hours - could easily be done in an afternoon and arrive early evening. When we left the conference at 5:30 pm at the end of sessions we were home by 10:30 pm with a dinner stop in Albany.The Golden Arrow hotel was very nice - beautiful setting and view of the lake - and the staff friendly and accommodating. The short walk to the conference center was welcome because we were sitting most of the day during the presentations. We enjoyed walking and visiting the shops on Main St. At the conference center, the vendor area was spacious and provided sufficient table space to sit or stand to talk while enjoying the gatherings, food, and drink. The meeting rooms were spacious, comfortable (some said cool at times, but I thought ok), sufficiently isolated for sound - we did not notice any interference at all -Thank you Tracey and we hope to visit Lake Placid again soon.
